    N1550-A XO (not a typo)

Vintage Altec Lansing N-1550-A Dividing Network AS IS | eBay

Not seen one of these. Was it for the 604E and just a variant on the N1500-A?

Its marked an N-1550-A, just for the search engine.

Yup it looks like a 604E duplex crossover.Maybe they experimented with different XO points for the 604E Super Duplex. Probably not to many of those I would suspect.

The N1550-A was used on the Altec 615A Duplex, which was a variation of the 605B. It appears to be a series type crossover similar to the ones used on the 604E and 605B.

I thought they used a N1600D Hz crossover.Could they have used both ? Maybe a tweak during production ?

The 615A has the conical horn in the center I think.
............ with a funky looking little phase plug in the horn throat.

    Indeed!

FWIW, and the sake of discussion , the successor 616-8A was built on the 411 frame, uses the 411 motor and cone with an accordian surround.
